Bauche Stargazer Carina Nebula

Inspired by the exploring the universe, by the James Webb Space Telescope’s images of the Carina Nebula.

Initially, this project was conceived as an incredible diving watch. The idea of this project is on Bauche's Instagram. But after a lengthy discussion and correction of the marketing strategy, the concept was changed to a more familiar one for the brand owner. Space exploration and conquering. The watch case has undergone significant structural changes, but visually remains the same. The inspiration was a distant galaxy.

The journey to this galaxy is possible only in our dreams. But we know that meteorites are parts of the cores of planets that exploded many billions of years ago and ended their way through the galaxy on our planet. It's hard to imagine, but that's exactly how it is.

That is why we used the meteorite as a symbol of this long journey that we cannot overcome. But on the other hand, we will have this part of an unknown planet in our watch on the wrist. The boundary between each of the materials does not have a geometric shape, because it is unnatural to nature.

We used the shimmering colors and texture of mother-of-pearl to remake the color of the galaxy or the worrmhole to it. We were inspired by the idea from the movie Men in Black. "The galaxy is in the Orion belt."Where the whole galaxy could fit in a balloon around the neck of a cat named Orion. Sorry for the spoiler.

The shape of the indexes and arrows is the shape of aircraft that could cross space and show us another galaxy.
